This memo covers your marketing communication and advertising plan. Your written memo should include:
- A description of the messages you will use to promote your “brand image”
- The kinds of images, colors, and packaging design that will be appropriate for your product given the country values, marketing laws, and consumer behavior.
- The methods you will use to advertise your product, including internet and social media if appropriate. Discuss the types of messages and ads.
- A “storyboard” (outline) of a video commercial/message that appeals to the values of your target market. You should create this whether or not broadcast commercials are a key part of your advertising plan. Each team will have 3 minutes in class to present their commercial. Some teams act out the commercial, some present hand drawn pictures of each element of the story, some use PowerPoint, some have actually produced videos. Your memo should be concise and to the point. Statements should be backed up by data and properly referenced. Use charts and graphs when appropriate to illustrate data.
